BB Jazz is a non-profit organization with a dual purpose:
• Raising awareness and funds for children with autism.
• Bringing smooth jazz to the community of Huntington Beach.
Betty’s nephew, Sonic, is a very active 10-year-old, who is autistic.
Betty's personal struggle to find a way to help her sister and her husband
with their uphill battle against autism inspired her to start BB Jazz.
Betty found a way to combine her passion for smooth jazz music
with her experience in the music industry. Betty also works with
Jeff Robertson on the Newport Beach Jazz Festival as an artist lineup
consultant and backstage manager. BB Jazz is promoting four
smooth jazz concerts in 2006 and expanding to six concerts in 2003.
